I believe many people have their own skincare routines and get a lot of skincare information from various channels. Amidst so much skincare information, it's inevitable to encounter some misconceptions and incorrect information. Today, I'm going to compile some skincare tips.<\/span>3<\/span>Common Skincare Mistakes \ud83d\ude45\ud83c\udffb\u200d\u2640\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Many people are easily swayed by beauty bloggers and misled by online information, believing that \"exfoliation\" is a must-have skincare step to remove dead skin cells and keep skin smooth and elastic. They resort to aggressively \"skincaring\" their skin with exfoliating products. Whether it's roughness, dullness, makeup creasing, or acne breakouts, exfoliating is seen as the solution to all skin problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regular exfoliation does help make skin more radiant and better absorb skincare products. However, this doesn't mean that the more frequent the exfoliation, the better the results!<\/span>No<\/span> Over-exfoliating can actually make skin sensitive, thin the surface layer, cause peeling, and result in redness due to irritation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The correct way to exfoliate is based on not harming the skin, aiming to help the surface's mild old keratin fall off and promote skin metabolism. Those with oily skin or enlarged pores can exfoliate once a week or once every two weeks. Dry and sensitive skin types are not recommended to use it frequently; once a month is sufficient. It is also recommended to avoid scrubs with coarse particles when choosing exfoliating products.<\/span>\u274c<\/span> Reduce skin damage!<\/span><\/p>\n

Have you guys been hearing everyone say lately<\/span>\u201c<\/span>Acid peeling<\/span>\u201d<\/span>What is it? \"Acid peeling\" is currently a very popular beauty term. It involves applying a chemical agent (one of the skincare products) to the skin to cause controlled damage, thereby stimulating new skin regeneration. Essentially, it's a technique that damages the skin first, then stimulates the production of new epidermis to achieve rejuvenation. Typically, acid peeling is done at a beauty salon by a professional. Now, there are many at-home acid peeling products available for consumers. However! Not all skin types are suitable for acid peeling, and the duration the product is left on the face and the method of application are also very important!<\/span><\/p>\n

Just like exfoliation, acid peels also<\/span>\u274c<\/span>Daily or frequent use. Over-exfoliating or using overly concentrated acids will cause significant skin damage and destroy the skin barrier. The skin doesn't have time to repair itself and grow new, delicate skin, or even if new, delicate skin grows, forcefully scrubbing it away. This will only turn the skin into highly sensitive skin, and it's very likely to result in a damaged complexion! If you haven't found a suitable exfoliating acid product, it's still recommended to have a professional aesthetician perform the procedure. Knowing that face masks can improve skin, some skincare enthusiasts will apply all types of masks (clay masks, sheet masks, sleeping masks) in one night, or apply masks with different functions at the same time, thinking that this will increase skin elasticity.<\/span> Up <\/span>Up<\/span> Then you are wrong.<\/span>\u274c<\/span><\/p>\n

Applying a face mask is like giving your skin a drink of water. But overdoing it is like forcing water down your skin's throat!
