Long-awaited MV shoot~ Growth requires letting go

The students were so happy to learn they could do shooting after such a long time without a show! The long-awaited MV shooting is back 🥳

Since the theme this time is futuristic and technological, students will need to wear makeup that fits the theme. A few days before the shoot, we specifically arranged for a model to come in and practice the makeup so that the shoot could proceed smoothly and quickly on the day.

The theme of a photoshoot is a matter of serendipity, as not every shoot will have the same theme. This time, the students encountered a futuristic, tech-infused element, with the singers playing out a storyline of gods and clones.
Filming location
Similarly, before facing the filming subject, students must understand the song's filming style, the required visual aesthetic, and the direction of the storyline. Only by understanding these will they know why the company requires this particular makeup, rather than something else; they won't just follow instructions aimlessly. Cultivating students' critical thinking skills starts with every show 👍🏼
Remember that one singer (a rapper!) whose hairstyle needed gold thread to tie up all his braids? The classmate in charge of the hairstyle also volunteered to find the gold thread needed for the style. Of course, the expenses could be reimbursed 🤣
Perhaps some people will think, aren't these supposed to be prepared by the other party or the school? Why should students find them themselves? 🧐 Will students actually look for them? What if they buy the wrong thing?

In a pride of lions, the lioness responsible for finding food gradually reduces her hunting and feeding of the cubs when they are about six months old. Instead, she demonstrates hunting techniques in front of the cubs, allowing them to learn to hunt on their own. The lioness knows she cannot protect her cubs forever, and to survive, they must learn hunting skills early.

The pride of lions is like this, and so are people. Teachers' guidance and backup will allow students to complete tasks without stress and in a safe environment, but students need to grow up and become independent. Letting students search for styling materials for shooting on their own, learning where to find them, what materials to use, how to buy them, and how to compare prices, etc., are all part of growth. ☺️ Because we deeply understand that to establish oneself in this society, one must have sufficient adaptability.
On-site, in addition to makeup and hair, students will also be needed for hands-on work with styling and clothing. Ironing clothes, jackets, and preparing the outfits and accessories needed for each singer are all styling designs decided during the singers' makeup practice sessions a few days prior.
Arrange every outfit and accessory neatly, and double-check if anything is missing. Learning how to manage styling needs beyond makeup and hair was also something students learned hands-on this time. Previously, the costumes were arranged by a separate art director or costume designer. Since the costume designer was unavailable this time, the students were in charge of everything, and they also learned how to tie headscarves.
This is also a kind of trust from them towards us students 😄
Here are the makeup and hair styling works for the MV by our students. 😄 The song is great, a brand new original, let's go! 🥳
